The Mega Menu Hamburger is designed for mobile and hamburger-style menus in the ShopWell theme. It allows you to assign a unique header background image to each menu item, enhancing the visual experience for mobile users.
🔍 What Is It? #
When using the Hamburger Menu (typically shown on mobile), each top-level menu item can display a background image in its header. This is especially useful for highlighting product categories with rich visuals.
🛠️ How to Add a Background to a Hamburger Menu Item #
Follow these steps to set a background image for your hamburger menu items:
1. Open the Menu Item #
- Navigate to Appearance > Menus.
- Select your Category Menu and locate the menu item (e.g., Sports & Entertainment).
- Click the Mega Menu link underneath it.
2. Go to the Design Tab #
- Inside the Mega Menu popup, switch to the Design tab.
- Locate the Menu Image section under Mega Menu Design.
- Upload an image.
4. Save Changes #
Click the blue Save Changes button to apply the background to that specific menu item.
✅ Result #
Now when users tap on Sports & Entertainment (or the corresponding item) in the mobile menu, they will see a background image behind the menu title – adding both branding and context to your navigation.
🧠 Notes #
- The background image is only visible in Mobile or Hamburger Menu Mode.
- For Product categories you can add it from Admin dashboard >> Product >> Categories -> Page Header Background
- You can apply different images for each menu item for a unique look per category.
