The ShopWell theme includes a powerful and customizable Account element that can be added to your header layout. It allows users to quickly sign in, access their account panel, and navigate useful links like Wishlist, Orders, Help Center, and more.

To customize this feature:

Go to Appearance → Customize → Header → Account

🧑‍💼 Avatar Icon #

Toggle this option ON to display a user avatar icon as the account button in the header. This enhances visibility and user interaction, especially on eCommerce sites.

🔄 Account Icon Behaviour #

Choose how users interact with the account icon:

  • Open the account panel
    • When users click the icon, a full panel will slide out (typically from the side).
  • Open the account dropdown
    • When users hover over the icon, a dropdown menu will appear with account-related links.

Tip: Use panel for a modern, immersive experience; use dropdown for simplicity.

🔗 Account Links #

Manage the links shown in the panel or dropdown:

  • Reorder them using drag & drop
  • Enable/disable specific links using the eye icon

Default Options: #

  • My Account (For Logged In)
  • Sign In
  • Create Account
  • Sign Out (For Logged In)
  • Wishlist
  • Compare
  • Track Order
  • Help Center

You can tailor the experience by hiding unnecessary links or reordering them to prioritize user actions.

📋 Custom Menu #

Need more flexibility?
Use this option to display a custom WordPress menu instead of the default account links. Great for integrating:

  • Custom pages (e.g., “My Subscriptions”)
  • Membership areas
  • External links

Simply create a menu from Appearance → Menus, then select it from the dropdown.

🔐 Sign In Icon Behavior #

Control the behavior of the Sign In icon:

  • Default
    • Uses the account panel or dropdown behavior set above.
  • Open the account page
    • Redirects users directly to the account login page (e.g., /my-account) if they are not logged in.

Ideal for store setups where you want users to land on a dedicated login/register page.
